...CiBAS - Helping Power A Brighter Future
Introducing CiBAS
Simplicity & Performance: A perfect match
We took our class leading traditional equipment and developed an even more perfect solution: CIBAS
It's really simple; we believe the technology created in building CiBAS is helping to build a brighter future. Because of the unique way CiBAS operates, productivity and safety is kept to the maximum, whilst importantly ensuring waste outputs, emmissions and noise levels are kept to the minimum.
With the introduction of the CiBAS unit we have incorporated the benefits of concentric technology. Years of fired heater and gas turbine experience, and a wealth of knowledge & experience of the offshore industry has resulted in the production of our leading edge CiBAS Energy Recovery System.
Nowhere else will you find this experience or technology; CiTECH introduces the unique CiBAS Energy Recovery System

...The Concept Of CiBAS Explained
The New Benchmark in Heat Recovery
Not only is CiBAS lightweight and compact, but it has been designed from the ground up to be an innovatively flexible package that can operate at several levels as a fully integrated factory assembled unit.
In our quest to provide you with exactly the right package for your project's demands, CiBAS has been developed to work as:
• A Gas Turbine Heat Recovery unit
• A Gas Turbine Once Through Steam Generator
• A supplementary Fired Design CiBAS model
The extent of its benefits are far reaching and with assistance in the FEED stage, the equipment can be integrated into a design solution saving significant price, space and weight, important criteria in the early project development phase. The generic package can be installed across a range of Gas Turbines from 5 to 50 Megawatts for both Thermal Energy Recovery and Steam Generation purposes.
Whatever your process, CIBAS is the most compact, lightweight and cost effective way of recovering heat from your turbine exhaust.
With over 70 years experience, we have over the past 25 years delivered more than 250 world class specialised turbine heat recovery packages to the Oil and Gas Industry.
Our commitment to this field has produced innovative solutions aimed at saving weight and space for Offshore designers. Innovation and the CiBAS concept is leading the drive for further advances in our equipment, and more importantly our client's requirements.

...Why Make It Complicated - CiBAS Equals Simplicity
One Solution...
As well as the multitude of functions already discussed, CiBAS' patented design can be used for heating any fluid and controls the process temperature accurately with it's sleeve type bypass valve.
In its standard form CIBAS reduces a gas turbine's noise level to less than 80 dBA at 1m making it ideal for all locations without unwanted disruption.
The cold casing design allows CiBAS to be used in potentially explosive atmospheres associated with oil and gas platforms offshore and in petro-chemical plants onshore.
Some of the added benefits of this simple design include
• New Developments
• Upgrades
• Retrofits
• Modifications
• Atex compliant in cold casing form
• Lighweight and Compact structure
For existing platform upgrades, modifications or retrofits, CiBAS can be loaded out and lifted on board in modules ensuring wherever possible that existing platform cranage capacity can be utilised, minimising project costs and due to its simplicity of design, ensuring rapid installation, hook up & deployment.
NEXT: Generic Family
...Tailored To Your Exact Specification
A Solution for every task
CiTECH has developed CiBAS as a generic family of heat recovery and steam generation packages. Helically wound, finned tube bundles are installed within the unit annulus between outer casing and internal bypass valve. Recovering heat from the full turbine flow at temperatures typically in the 400°C to 550°C range. NEXT: Benefits
...CiBAS Offers Many Over Traditional Options
What are the advantages of CiBAS?
• CONVENIENCE
Compact & fully integrated, assembled and transported as a single flange to flange unit, CiBAS is ready to go the moment it arrives on site. Not to mention it's lightweight build and low centre of gravity for added stability.• SIMPLICITY
Our superb design allows rapid assembly and disassembly, should it be needed. We also provide a full post installation maintainence service, to give you piece of mind that your unit is covered by fully experienced technicians and can be interacted with a minimum of inconvienience.• CHOICE
As well as a generic family to suit every performance need, you can choose from internally lined or unlined coil casing. Should you choose lined you will benefit from a surface temperature of less than 67°C as well as added benefit of reducing noise to less than 85 dBa, whilst remaining ATEX compliant.• PERFORMANCE
The integrally mounted centre plug and bypass damper-noise attenuation is provided in bypass mode to ensure equal attenuation levels. As well CiBAS features an intergral fail-safe bypass valve, low level sleeve actuation, low blast profile and direct GT mounting.• IMPLEMENTATION
With an already minimal steel support structure, we can offer both vertical and axial exhaust solutions, making CiBAS suitable for any project.• VALUE
Impeccable performance and value doesn't have to come at an inflated cost - Not only does CiBAS outperform others in terms of performance, but financially too.NEXT: Comparison

Performance, Size & Cost
CiBAS versus our traditional concept - The net benefit in weight between the two solutions is in excess of 150 tonnes to the platform.
NEXT: OTSG
...A Variety Of Options From One Product
Once Through Steam Generation
CiTECH has used its wealth of experience in once through steam generation systems to extend its CiBAS range with the successful introduction of Gas Turbine OTSG packages.
Again using helically wound finned tube bundles, the equipment recovers heat from full turbine flow at temperatures in the 400°C to 570°C range.
The system is designed to currently operate at pressures up to 62 Bar and super heat temperatures up to 515°C. Steam production across the range of five package solutions ranges from 8 tonnes to 55 tonnes per hour by design. Supplementary firing the exhaust can increase these values significantly.
