CiTECH have been awarded the order from Solar Turbines to supply a Two CiBAS C70 WHRU for the Arkutun Dagi Platform to provide heat to the on-board Heating and Ventilation Systems. The CiBAS units are designed to be cold case and to only run filled. The units recover a total of a combined flow rate of 1493432kg/hr and a total thermal duty of 28,400kwth through a Water Glycol System from two Solar Titan 130 Gas Turbines.
The Arkutun-Dagi platform is part of the development of the Sakhalin-1 Project. Arkutun-Dagi operations will be developed in phases, starting with the northernmost part. The crude oil will be sent to the Chayvo Onshore Processing Facility for treatment and then delivered via pipeline to De-Kastri for export. The topsides will have to be towed approximately 2,600 kilometres over 12 days from its fabrication site in South Korea. The largest ocean going launch/cargo barge in the world at 260m long and 63m will be used for delivery and float-over of the structure. When completed this operation will set a world record for the heaviest integrated topsides installed by float-over method in open sea. The total weight of this giant structure is about 42,000 tons, it contains over 1900 km of cables and over 97 km of piping.
