CiTECH have been awarded the order from Samsung Heavy Industries for Two CiBAS C70 WHRU for the NEXUS 1 FSPO to provide heat to the on-board Oil & Gas Processing System. The CiBAS units are designed to be cold case and to run flooded, the units are specified to recover at a combined flow rate of 562,600kgs/hr and a total thermal duty of 30,000kwth through a Water Glycol system recovering heat from two Solar Titan 130 Gas Turbines.
The units were delivered as required to Samsung and the FSPO Nexus 1 operated offshore Norway but Nexus ran into financial difficulties and the vessel was sold onto OGX a Brazilian Oil Company. After modification the FSPO now operates in the Campos Basin
